As reported, Orbán arrived in Tbilisi on the evening of 28 October. The EU previously stressed that Orbán does not represent the position of all member states with this visit.
Notably, Orbán was among the first to congratulate the Georgian government on its election victory, even before the official results were announced.
Opposition parties, however, have refused to recognize the election results, alleging that Georgian Dream stole the elections, and have called for protests.
