Protesters in Tbilisi have booed Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who arrived in Georgia with an official visit.

Details: Video footage released by journalists shows that the appearance of Orbán was greeted with whistles and jeers from protesters. The government administration told journalists that Orbán is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, and they will hold a joint press conference for the media on 29 October.

As reported, Orbán arrived in Tbilisi on the evening of 28 October. The EU previously stressed that Orbán does not represent the position of all member states with this visit.

Notably, Orbán was among the first to congratulate the Georgian government on its election victory, even before the official results were announced.

Opposition parties, however, have refused to recognize the election results, alleging that Georgian Dream stole the elections, and have called for protests.
