Explosions were heard in Kharkiv on the night of 28 October as a strike was recorded near a nine-storey residential building, injuring seven people.

Updated: Syniehubov said that the Russians had attacked the Kholodnohirskyi district of Kharkiv. The strike was near a residential building.

The walls of the upper floors and window panes were damaged. A fire broke out next to the apartment block.

Terekhov wrote that a 9-storey residential building had been hit in Kholodnohirskyi district. There is a fire and some damage. 

All the appropriate services are working at the scene.

In addition, the Russians struck the settlement of Chuhuiv, Syniehubov said. Information on the damage is being confirmed.

The State Emergency Service reported that as of 05:30, the air strike had partially destroyed apartments on the top floor of a nine-storey residential building. Windows were also smashed in the building. 

Preliminary reports indicate that seven people have been injured, including one child.

Psychologists from the State Emergency Service (SES) have been working at the scene to provide the necessary assistance to people.

Emergency rescue operations are currently underway. More than 25 emergency workers and six SES fire-and-rescue appliances are involved in the operation.

Background: The Russians launched guided aerial bombs in Kharkiv on the evening of 27 October. Four people were reported injured in the Saltivskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts of the city.
