Russians hit Kharkiv with guided aerial bombs: four people injured, destruction reported

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov has reported explosions as Russian forces launched guided aerial bombs (KABs) on the city. Four people from the Shevchenkivskyi and Saltivskyi districts are known to have been injured.

Details: Terekhov urged Kharkiv residents to stay safe and warned of potential repeat strikes.

The mayor said early reports indicated there had been four strikes on three districts of the city – Shevchenkivskyi, Kyivskyi and Saltivskyi. "Information regarding casualties and damage is being confirmed," he noted.

Update: Terekhov reported that a house in the Saltivskyi district was damaged and a woman was injured as a result of the strike.

Reportedly, houses in the Shevchenkivskyi district were also damaged in the attack. No information on casualties from this strike has been received.

Terekhov noted that one woman was injured in the Shevchenkivskyi district. 

Quote: "In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a house was destroyed as a result of a KAB strike. Two people have been taken to hospital. The assessment of the impact sites is ongoing," the mayor wrote.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration, said that two people were injured in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv – a 51-year-old man and a 76-year-old woman. Both have been hospitalised.

Syniehubov later reported that the number of casualties had risen to four.
