Ukraine's air defence downs 57 UAVs over Ukraine, 15 disappear from radar, up to 9 remain in airspace

The Russians have attacked Ukraine with 81 Shahed drones and UAVs of unspecified types on the night of 22-23 October 2024, 57 of which have been downed by Ukraine’s air defence forces.

Details: As of 09:00, the destruction of 57 Russian drones in Odesa, Mykolaiv, Vinnytsia, Sumy, Cherkasy, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Poltava, Chernihiv and Kharkiv oblasts has been confirmed.

The Russians also attacked Odesa Oblast with an Kh-31P anti-radiation missile from the Black Sea.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups from the Air Force and the rest of the defence forces were involved in repelling the attack.

In addition, 15 Russian drones have disappeared from radar.

Up to nine Russian drones still remain in Ukrainian airspace. Combat efforts are ongoing.
