Russians attack Pokrovsk and Kurakhove fronts over 100 times on 22 October – Ukraine's General Staff

A total of 166 combat clashes have occurred on the battlefield over the past day in Ukraine, including 103 on the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove fronts.

Details: On the Kharkiv front, five combat clashes occurred near the settlements of Vovchansk and Starytsia.

On the Kupiansk front, 13 Russian attacks occurred. Ukraine’s defence forces repelled Russian assaults near the settlements of Holubivka, Pishchane, Petropavlivka, Kolisnykivka and Lozova.

On the Lyman front, the Russians attacked 14 times near the settlements of Hrekivka, Novomykhailivka, Terny and Torske.

On the Kramatorsk front, Ukrainian soldiers repelled the Russian attempt to advance toward the village of Bondarne.

On the Pokrovsk front, the Russians tried to push Ukrainian units out of their positions near Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka and Selydove. Ukrainian defenders repelled 56 Russian assaults, with the highest concentration of attacks near Selydove.

On the Kurakhove front, Ukraine’s defence forces repelled 47 Russian attacks near the settlements of Hirnyk, Novodmytrivka, Hostre, Katerynivka and Antonivka, where the Russians tried to break though the Ukrainian defence lines.

On the Vremivka front, the Russians assaulted Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Bohoiavlenka and Velyka Novosilka 10 times.

On the Orikhiv front, one combat clash occurred near the village of Robotyne, where the Russians continued their attempts to push Ukrainian forces out of their positions.

On the Prydniprovske front, four Russian attacks were unsuccessful as they tried to break through Ukrainian defence lines in the island zone of the Dnipro River delta.

On the Siversk, Toretsk and Huliaipole fronts, the operational situation has not changed significantly. On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, there is no evidence of the formation of offensive Russian groups.

On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy oblasts, the Russians are maintaining their military presence, bombarding settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation and increasing the density of minefields along the state border with Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces continue inflicting significant losses on Russian manpower and equipment, exhausting them along the entire line of contact.
