France supports the opening of 2 rehabilitation centres in Ukraine for children brought back from Russia

Two rehabilitation centres will be opened in Ukraine with the support of France for children who have been brought back to Ukraine after being taken to Russia.

Source: French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot during a joint press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart Andrii Sybiha in Kyiv, as reported by European Pravda

Quote: "I would like to announce the opening of two centres in Dnipro and Kharkiv with the support of France, which will welcome children who have been brought back to Ukraine and facilitate their rehabilitation," Barrot said, without providing further details.

The minister noted that since the beginning of the war, France has provided Ukraine with €3 billion in various forms of assistance for the civilian sector, covering a range of areas from humanitarian mine clearance to supplying equipment for hospitals. 

For his part, Andrii Sybiha emphasised France's active efforts in the area of bringing back Ukrainian children and welcomed the recent Franco-Canadian statement. He stated that the parties had discussed in detail the implementation of the relevant point of the Peace Formula and the involvement of as many participants as possible in the thematic conference on 30-31 October in Canada.

Jean-Noël Barrot also mentioned that he plans to visit one of the north-eastern oblasts in Ukraine the following day.
