Details: This procurement marks the first concrete step in the implementation of the Drone Action Plan, which was announced by Dutch Defence Minister Ruben Brekelmans during his visit to Ukraine in early October.

"Unarmed ISR drones can fly long distances. They are used for obtaining battlefield information in real-time, intelligence gathering and surveillance," the statement said.

The Defence Ministry reiterated that €400 million was allocated for the implementation of the Drone Action Plan, with over 50% of the funding going to the Dutch industry. The procurement from DeltaQuad is part of these funds.

Quote from Brekelmans: "This order from DeltaQuad is an important and concrete step within our action plan. Ukraine needs modern drones that can be delivered in the shortest possible time. It is good that the Dutch industry can contribute to this."

It is noted that information about the number, types of drones and delivery schedules is not being disclosed for security reasons.
