Zelenskyy: Putin will present his own "peace plan" on BRICS Summit

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, expects that Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin will propose his own formula for ending the war at the BRICS leaders' summit on 22-24 October.

Quote: "BRICS assists Putin in showing the world, and especially his society, that Russia is not isolated... I believe that partners should work harder to ensure that not all presidents take part in Putin’s summit. I believe that is significant.

The BRICS economic union itself entails that Putin would do everything in his power to present the world with his solution to the war. And in order for someone to accept and subscribe to his formula, he requires some kind of foundation, and he recognises that there is no [support from the] United States, no [support from] Europe, major challenges with Asia, and Arab countries are divided.

As a result, Putin needed to establish a forum that people could grasp. BRICS is a reasonable venue for him, but I believe he will not be establishing commercial links on this event, but rather share his vision for ending the war."

Details: According to Zelenskyy, this is a major issue that has been highlighted with the White House. The head of state also said it was a horrible omen that Russia was working on inviting UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres to this meeting.
