The Russian fleet has lost its ability to influence the course of hostilities in Ukraine, says Captain 3rd Rank Dmytro Pletenchuk, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Navy.

Quote: "Our counterparts from intelligence can respond to this question on a more professional level. However, I can say that, regardless of the degree of readiness or the number of units, the Russian fleet cannot influence the course of hostilities in our theatre. Even though some units could potentially be redeployed through internal waters, they will not do so because they cannot effectively manage the units they have left in the Black Sea. The Black Sea Fleet is essentially paralysed in the Azov-Black Sea region.

Regarding other areas, such as the Mediterranean, they are also unable to reach us from there."
