Russia loses another 1,260 soldiers over one day

The General Staff has reported that Russia has lost more than 670,000 soldiers killed and wounded since the start of the full-scale invasion, while the Ukrainian defence forces have destroyed over 19,400 artillery systems, over 17,800 armoured personnel carriers and 8,975 tanks.

Details: The total combat losses of the Russian forces between 24 February 2022 and 14 October 2024 are estimated to be as follows [figures in parentheses represent the latest losses – ed.]:

• approximately 670,190 (+1,260) military personnel;
• 8,975 (+5) tanks;
• 17,895 (+19) armoured combat vehicles;
• 19,421 (+11) artillery systems;
• 1,231 (+0) multiple-launch rocket systems;
• 978 (+0) air defence systems;
• 369 (+0) fixed-wing aircraft;
• 329 (+0) helicopters;
• 17,009 (+17) strategic and tactical UAVs;
• 2,619 (+0) cruise missiles;
• 28 (+0) ships/boats;
• 1 (+0) submarine;
• 26,622 (+38) vehicles and tankers;
• 3,437 (+2) special vehicles and other equipment.
