Quote from the General Staff: "An ammunition warehouse located on the territory of a military facility came under attack. Enemy air defence activity was observed near the target, and a fire was spotted."

Details: It is noted that Su-34 and Su-27 aircraft were based at the airfield. Detailed information on the consequences of the damage is being confirmed.

"The task was carried out by the forces and means of the Security Service of Ukraine, Defence Intelligence of Ukraine and the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the General Staff concluded.

An Ukrainska Pravda source in the security services noted that 57 Russian combat and training aircraft and helicopters were at the airfield at the time of the strike. Among them were Su-34 and Su-35 jets and Mi-8 helicopters. The number of destroyed or damaged vehicles is currently being investigated.

"But we already know that there are large-scale fires and detonations at the airfield. Among other things, this is also confirmed by satellite monitoring. Local authorities have announced an evacuation," the source said.

The source added that Russia is using this airfield in Krasnodar Krai (450 kilometres from the line of contact) for refuelling and missile and bomb attacks on the units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces and populated areas.

The source also said that on the night of 9-10 October, drones of the Security Service of Ukraine, Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Armed Forces of Ukraine and Special Operations Forces of Ukraine hit a Shahed attack drone warehouse near the Russian city of Yeysk. Several loud explosions were heard there, which caused a fire and subsequent detonation at the drone storage site.
