Swiss football club signs Russian player
Swiss club FC Sion has signed Russian attacking midfielder Anton Miranchuk from FC Lokomotiv Moscow.

Details: The 28-year-old footballer has been signed until 30 June 2026. He joined the club as a free agent.

Miranchuk has spent almost his entire career at Lokomotiv, where he has played since the 2013/14 season. He played 217 matches, scored 51 goals and provided 34 assists. He has also played 28 matches for the Russian national team.
Interestingly, 19-year-old Ukrainian footballer Andrii Firman joined Sion on loan a few weeks ago. Earlier, there were reports that Sion would have the right to buy the player.
Background: Paris Saint-Germain FC also signed a contract with a Russian footballer this summer.
