Zelenskyy shares details of plan for Ukrainian victory with US congressmen

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that he discussed "some details" of Ukraine’s victory plan with the US congressional delegation in Italy. The plan will be presented to US President Joe Biden and presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.

Quote from Zelenskyy: "On the sidelines of the [Ambrosetti] Forum in Italy, I met with a delegation of the US Congress. We talked, in particular, about the victory plan for Ukraine – about some of its details, and we will present all the steps to US President Biden and both presidential candidates, Trump and Harris, in full.

Our main focus now, at the beginning of the fall, is to strengthen the positions of Ukraine and Ukrainians as much as possible, protect our cities and villages from Russian terror, and, of course, provide more capabilities for our warriors on the frontlines."

Details: Zelenskyy also said that Ukraine is "really counting" on the outcomes of the upcoming conversation with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.

He added that negotiations with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni are also important for Ukraine.

Background: On 27 August, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he will present Ukraine’s plan for victory to US President Joe Biden in September and will also pass it on to US presidential candidates.
