Ukrainian striker Dovbyk nominated for Ballon d'Or
Ukrainian striker Artem Dovbyk, playing for Italian Roma, is on the list of nominees for the Ballon d’Or prize, awarded to the best football player of the year.

Details: In the 2023/24 season, Dovbyk played for Spanish Girona, scoring 24 goals and providing 10 assists in 39 matches. He also became the best scorer of La Liga and received the Pichichi Trophy.
The Ballon d’Or award ceremony will take place on 8 October.
Background: Dovbyk transferred to Roma in the summer of 2024. His transfer entered the list of the most expensive ones among Ukrainian players and became the fifth most expensive transfer in the history of the club.
