Ukrainian Parliament dismisses Deputy PM for European Integration Olha Stefanishyna

The Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian Parliament) has dismissed Olha Stefanishyna as Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.

Quote: "[The decision on] the dismissal of Olha Stefanishyna from the post of Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine [was voted through]. 241 [MPs voted] in favour."

Details: According to Zhelezniak, Stefanishyna will be reappointed to the same position on 5 September in addition to being appointed Minister of Justice.

Background: 

  • Ukrainska Pravda’s sources report that Stefanishyna is to be appointed Minister of Justice in addition to continuing to work on Ukraine’s European integration.
  • On 4 September, the Ukrainian Parliament dismissed Ruslan Strilets, Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, Oleksandr Kamyshin, Minister of Strategic Industries, and Denys Maliuska, Minister of Justice.
