The decision was voted for by 243 MPs. Zhelezniak said Kamyshin had reported on the work he had done.
Background:
- The Verkhovna Rada did not collect enough votes to dismiss Vitalii Koval as head of the State Property Fund.
- In addition, not enough members of the Rada voted to allow Koval to report on his work in office before his dismissal.
- The Economic Development Committee had recommended that the Verkhovna Rada dismiss Koval from his post.
- The Committee also recommended that the Rada dismiss Minister for Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin.
- Both officials had submitted resignation letters to the Parliament the day before.
