Desolate and mystical: polar explorers show rare night-time landscapes in Antarctica – photos

Ukrainian polar explorers showed "deserted and mystical" night-time landscapes in Antarctica. They say that this is a rare phenomenon when the sky above the Vernadsky station is not covered with clouds, and scientists can "admire the Moon of extraordinary size."

• Ukrainian polar explorers recently showed another unique phenomenon - nacreous clouds over the Antarctic. They said such clouds can be only seen a few times a year, mainly during the Antarctic winter.
• In addition, the explorers published incredible photos of the starry sky. At that time, the National Institute of Natural Sciences noted that it is not often possible to see it due to the fact that it is constantly cloudy in this region.
