Russia loses 1,400 soldiers and 16 tanks over past day

Russia has lost 1,400 soldiers killed and wounded, 61 artillery systems, 40 armoured combat vehicles and 16 tanks over the past day.

Details: The total combat losses of the Russian forces between 24 February 2022 and 24 September 2024 are estimated to be as follows [figures in parentheses represent the latest losses – ed.]:

• approximately 645,150 (+1,400) military personnel;
• 8,800 (+16) tanks;
• 17,292 (+40) armoured combat vehicles;
• 18,475 (+61) artillery systems;
• 1,198 (+1) multiple-launch rocket systems;
• 952 (+3) air defence systems;
• 369 (+0) fixed-wing aircraft;
• 328 (+0) helicopters;
• 15,764 (+65) strategic and tactical UAVs;
• 2,595 (+0) cruise missiles;
• 28 (+0) ships/boats;
• 1 (+0) submarine;
• 25,175 (+73) vehicles and tankers;
• 3,155 (+10) special vehicles and other equipment.
