Details: "We continue to stand firmly on the side of Ukraine," said Federal Finance Minister Christian Lindner.

"With this solution that we have now found, we are creating security for necessary medical treatment in Germany," he added.

According to Interior Minister Nancy Faeser, Germany has so far evacuated 1,173 badly wounded and injured Ukrainian soldiers and civilians and provided them with medical care in German hospitals.

"This assistance is a humane act – and we continue to provide it as best as we can," she says.

The Federal Office of Administration will handle and pay for hospital treatment of war-wounded soldiers in the future without the use of bureaucratic procedures.

In July, Germany accepted seriously ill children who were previously treated at Kyiv’s Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital attacked by Russia.
