Quote: "It has been officially determined that 1,609 children were injured and 575 were killed. The real figures may be far worse because we do not have access to data from the temporarily occupied parts of Ukraine," the ombudsman said.
According to Dmytro Lubinets, Russia continues to cynically and repeatedly violate the Geneva Conventions, which are intended to protect civilians in times of war.
In addition, the Russians disregard international standards regarding the treatment of prisoners of war.
A sociological survey shows that hostilities had a direct impact on 99% of Ukrainian children.
Experts say that such experiences make children more anxious about all aspects of life compared to their peers, including those from other countries that have not experienced such impacts.
This significantly increases the feeling of insecurity at home (78%), concerns about their appearance (42%), the number of friends (39%), and the feeling of insecurity outside the home (35%).
