Zelenskyy convenes meeting of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Staff, says situation in east is under his personal control

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has convened another meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff, with a focus on the situation at the Pokrovsk, Toretsk, and Kharkiv fronts. Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine's Armed Forces, stated that he was present on the scene and personally handled the issue.

Quote: "Held a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. Question number one is the situation at the front. The fronts of Pokrovsk, Toretsk, and Kharkiv were in the spotlight. Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi reported via video link that he is currently there and has personal authority over the situation."

Details: Military and foreign intelligence reports on the evolution of the situation and the Russian troops' immediate goals were heard at the meeting.

They also reviewed the dynamics of Ukrainian drone and missile production, as well as the defence forces' requirement for them till the end of the year. Defence Minister Rustem Umierov, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation Mykhailo Fedorov, and Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin all provided reports.

In addition, it was decided to allocate additional funds to the Ukrainian missile programme. "There will be more missiles of our own production," the president underlined.

Umierov also reported on the provision of other brigades with weapons and equipment. "We are actively working with partners," Zelenskyy stated.
