Details: Shmyhal said that Ukraine will receive a total of €16 billion from the Ukraine Facility in 2024.
"Our partner countries and international financial institutions have assured us that all of our external funding needs will be met this year," Shmyhal said.
He said that this money is intended to help Ukraine finance non-military budget expenditures.
"This is aid that helps our country meet its social obligations, pay salaries to state employees, and implement economic and humanitarian projects.
Ukraine’s security and defence sector is funded internally. All of our private citizens’ and business taxes are used exclusively to fund the Ukrainian army," Shmyhal said.
Background: Ukraine has received a US$3.9 billion non-repayable grant from the United States through the World Bank. These funds will help finance priority budget expenditures such as salaries for teachers, doctors and rescue workers, and social benefits.
