Russians attack central district of Kharkiv, clinic building damaged, people may be under rubble

Russian forces carried out a missile attack on the city centre of Kharkiv on the morning of 6 August, damaging a clinic building. So far two people have turned to medics for assistance, and some people may be trapped under the rubble.

Details: Earlier, the Air Force reported activity by Russian tactical aircraft in the northeast and the threat of ballistic missile attacks from the east.

Update: Terekhov clarified that a clinic building had been damaged in the Russian attack on the city centre of Kharkiv. 

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration, noted that two people with acute reactions to stress had sought help from medics. Moreover, some people may still be trapped under the rubble.

He later reported that preliminary information indicates that the Russians attacked Kharkiv with an Iskander missile, damaging civilian premises, including a clinic building, cars and residential infrastructure, and breaking windows. The response to deal with the aftermath is ongoing.
