Russians attack Kharkiv Oblast: two civilians dead, 11 injured

Russian forces struck the village of Cherkaska Lozova in Kharkiv Oblast on Saturday, leaving two people dead and 11 injured.

Details: Syniehubov reported that the Russians had attacked the village of Cherkaska Lozova at 14:55, causing a house to catch fire. He did not specify the type of weapons used in the attack.

The official initially reported that four people had been injured, but later, the number increased to eight.

Later, Syniehubov added that a woman had been killed in the Russian bombardment of Cherkaska Lozova. Her identity is being established.

Syniehubov noted at 16:06 that the death toll from the attack had risen to two.

Updated: Later, Syniehubov clarified the information regarding the fatalities and injuries caused by the Russian strike on the village of Cherkaska Lozova.

"Two women have been killed: one has been retrieved from the rubble, the other died in an ambulance. Ten people, including two children, have been injured," he noted.

Kharkiv Oblast Prosecutor’s Office later said that the number of casualties has risen to 11, a 14-year-old girl is among them.

"Two women, both aged 41, were killed in the village of Cherkaska Lozova in [Russian] shelling. Another 11 civilians sustained injuries, including a 14-year-old girl. Several residential buildings and cars were destroyed and damaged. A fire broke out," the prosecutor’s office said.
