Ukrainian delegation to US discusses Peace Formula, weapons and energy with partners

The Ukrainian delegation met in Washington with national security advisers from the US, UK, Germany, and France to discuss arms supplies to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, energy security, and the Peace Formula.

Quote: "The parties discussed the necessary efforts to further strengthen Ukraine's air defence and energy system protection. The Head of the Office of the President [Andrii Yermak] emphasised that it is crucial for Ukraine to receive the necessary weapons and equipment as soon as possible."

Details: The meeting also focused on expanding joint arms production opportunities and increasing allied investments in Ukraine's defence industry.

Additionally, the parties discussed the preparation and procedure for the further implementation of the Ukrainian Treaty, adopted by Ukraine's partners during the 75th NATO Summit in Washington. They also agreed on an action plan to execute the security documents that have already been signed.

"Special attention was paid to the Peace Formula implementation," the President's Office concluded.

For reference: The Ukrainian delegation is headed by Yuliia Svyrydenko, Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister. It includes Andrii Yermak, Head of the President's Office; Defence Minister Rustem Umierov; Oksana Markarova, Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States; Mykola Tochytskyi, Deputy Head of the President's Office; and Dariia Zarivna, Advisor to the Head of the President's Office.

The US delegation was led by Jake Sullivan, National Security Advisor to the President; the UK by Timothy Barrow, UK National Security Advisor; Germany by Jens Plötner, German Chancellor's Advisor for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy; and France by Emmanuel Bonn, Foreign Policy Advisor to the French President.
