A day of mourning was declared in Kharkiv on 31 August after a Russian attack on the city the day before.

Details: The mayor clarified that six people were killed in the strike, not seven as previously reported. Among the dead is a 14-year-old girl who was killed near a playground.

There were also 80 civilians wounded, of whom 22 were children, including a ten-month-old baby.
