Fourth Russian pontoon crossing over river Seym up in Kursk Oblast after Ukrainian forces destroy bridges – photo
Radio Svoboda (Radio Liberty) has shared satellite images from 26 August which show that Russian forces have set up a new pontoon crossing over the River Seym in Kursk Oblast, the fourth such crossing.

Details: Radio Svoboda reported that the crossing was set up in the village of Zvannoe, two kilometres downstream from the bridge that had been damaged in shelling.
Earlier, Russian forces set up similar crossings in the village of Karyzh, between the villages of Zvannoe and Glushkovo, and to the east of Glushkovo.
The crossing in Karyzh is partially submerged, which might be an attempt by Russian forces to mask it, or it might have been attacked. The other two of the older pontoon crossings have also been attacked.
"Military experts suggest that by targeting the bridges over the River Seym, Ukraine is trying to cut Russian forces off from the Glushkovo district on the left, south, bank of the river," Radio Svoboda said.

- On 16 August, Ukraine's Air Assault Forces shared footage of the first hours of the operation in Russia's Kursk Oblast. The video shows demining operations, the breach of the Russian border by Ukrainian forces, the destruction of Russian defence lines, air and artillery operations, and the process of capturing prisoners of war.
- Later that same day, the 80th Air Assault Brigade of Ukraine’s Armed Forces shared footage from the early hours of the military operation in Russia's Kursk Oblast, in which its soldiers breached the defence line, destroyed a border checkpoint and captured over 50 prisoners.
- As of 20 August, Ukrainian forces controlled more than 1,260 sq km of territory and 93 settlements in Kursk Oblast, Russia.
