The arrest of Telegram founder and CEO Pavel Durov in France is starting to affect the app's popularity and rating.

Details: The publication writes that despite concerns about the content on Telegram, there is currently an increase in the number of downloads of the application. This allowed it to take second place in the App Store's social media chart and increase global downloads on iOS by 4%.

In France, where Durov was detained, the app climbed to No. 1 in the Social Media category on the App Store and became the 3rd best app overall.
