Quote from Belaruski Hajun: "At least six Shahed kamikaze drones flew into Belarus from Ukraine last night. According to @eRadarrua, Shaheds flew into the airspace of Belarus from the Chernihiv and Kyiv oblasts of Ukraine."
Details: The first two reportedly entered Belarus at around 00:09, with further incursions at around 00:30, 01:00, 03:27 and 05:55.
Earlier, the fact that the Shaheds [at least one - ed.] flew into Belarus was confirmed by Mykola Oleshchuk, Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force.
Belaruski Hajun reports that the Belarusian Air Force aircraft were on patrol in the skies over southern Belarus virtually all night. It is reported that the fighter jet from Baranovichi, which was scrambled at around 00:15, returned only at 02:00 and was back in the sky again at 02:45.
Why it matters: In the summer of 2024, Russian kamikaze drones have repeatedly been recorded flying into the territory of Belarus. This happened on 13 and 16 July, as well as on 21 August. The self-proclaimed authorities of Belarus have not commented on these facts.
