Four people killed and 16 wounded in new combined Russian attack – Zelenskyy
Four people were killed and 16 injured as a result of another large-scale Russian missile attack on Ukraine on the night of 26-27 August and morning of 27 August.

Quote from Zelenskyy: "A search and rescue operation is underway at the sites of strikes and falling debris in the oblasts of Ukraine that came under Russian attack last night. All services are involved, and the rubble is being cleared.
Unfortunately, despite the effective work of our air defence, four people were killed and 16 injured. My condolences to the families and loved ones of those killed in the attacks."
Details: Zelenskyy recalled that the Russians had used more than 90 aerial weapons against civilians and infrastructure: 81 Shahed drones, as well as cruise, ballistic and aerial missiles.
Quote from Zelenskyy: "We will pay Russia back for this and all other strikes. Crimes against humanity cannot be committed with impunity."
Background:
- Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration, said that two people had been killed and four more wounded in a Russian nighttime drone attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia.
- Two people were killed, five injured and two more are missing after a Russian attack on a hotel in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
- Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, Commander of Ukraine’s Air Force, said that Russians attacked Ukraine with ten missiles of various types and 81 Shahed attack drones and the Ukrainian air defence forces managed to destroy five cruise missiles and 60 UAVs on the night of 26-27 August.
- Russia launched 236 aerial weapons on Ukraine on Monday, 26 August. Ukraine's air defence downed 102 missiles and 99 attack drones.
- As a result of the Russian combined attack on 26 August, five people were killed and at least 17 injured.
