Bodies of two women found under rubble in Kozacha Lopan

The bodies of two women have been found under the rubble of the local administration building on the second day of the search and rescue operation in Kozacha Lopan, Kharkiv Oblast.

Quote: "Throughout the day, rescue workers from the State Emergency Service worked alongside village residents, the head of the city and the employees of the Derhachi City Council to clear the rubble of the damaged local administration building.

Due to the high activity of hostile FPV drones and the possibility of artillery strikes, special equipment could not be involved in the operation. However, during the search and rescue operation, the bodies of two local residents who assisted the district authorities have been found." 

Details: Local authorities reported that the main task now is to retrieve them and transfer the bodies of women to their relatives for burial.

Previously: 

• On 21 August, Russian forces launched an artillery strike on the village of Kozacha Lopan in Kharkiv Oblast, damaging the premises of the village council.
• Subsequently, a woman, 56, was rescued from under the rubble. She received minor injuries.
