Ukraine is ready to provide education to children residing in the parts of Russia's Kursk Oblast captured by Ukrainian forces if such a need arises.

Details: However, there is no discussion about relocating schoolchildren to Ukraine.

"International humanitarian law prohibits the relocation of minors across borders during occupation or hostilities. We condemn our enemy for displacing children of Ukrainian citizens to the territory of the Russian Federation.

We consider this a fundamental violation of human rights. Therefore, we are definitely not talking about any transfer of children from Kursk Oblast to the territory of Ukraine," said Vynnytskyi.

The official also mentioned that if the situation in Kursk Oblast continues to unfold as it is now, educators will need to develop a plan by autumn to ensure that children living in this region of Russia receive their education.

The deputy minister also added that Ukraine's Ministry of Education and Science is considering merging the agricultural college in the Russian town of Sudzha, which is controlled by Ukrainian forces, with Sumy National Agrarian University.

"There is an idea to merge the college with Sumy National Agrarian University. This idea has been voiced in the ministry before. We have not yet made any moves in this direction," added Mykhailo Vynnytskyi.
