Two civilians killed in Russian bombardment of Sumy Oblast
Two people were killed and one more injured in Russian strikes targeting Sumy Oblast on the afternoon of 22 August.

Quote: "The invaders launched two guided aerial bombs on the civilian infrastructure of Esman hromada in Shostka district at around 13:00 on 22 August. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]
Two civilian men, aged 74 and 67, were killed in the attack. The wife of one of the deceased was injured and has been hospitalised."
Details: Criminal proceedings have been initiated under Article 438.2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder).
Law enforcement officers are documenting the aftermath of the attack.
