China is ready to continue to strengthen contact and cooperation with Brazil and to jointly facilitate the final political resolution of the ‘Ukrainian crisis’."

Details: On 29 July 2024, Chinese Special Representative Li Hui visited Brazil where, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, he "exchanged views on the Ukrainian crisis", which is how China refers to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Li Hui said the Russo-Ukrainian war is still ongoing and the most pressing goal is to "cool the situation down".
