Quote: "The invitation of Ukraine to participate this year is a recognition of strong friendship between our countries... I am extremely proud that we have managed to implement this important project. I am grateful to our soldiers for their participation and to the management of the Canadian National Exhibition for this opportunity."

Background:

  • Earlier, the Canadian government confirmed that Ukraine can freely use tanks, armoured vehicles and other equipment donated by Canada on the territory of Russia.
  • Also, the Federal Court of Canada rejected a request by a Russian oligarch to lift the sanctions imposed on him in connection with the Russian war against Ukraine.
