US Secretary of Defense speaks with Ukraine's Defence Minister about current operations of Ukraine's Armed Forces
Lloyd Austin, US Secretary of Defense, had a telephone conversation with Rustem Umierov, Ukraine’s Defence Minister, one of the topics of which was the situation on the battlefield.

Details: The head of the Pentagon noted that during the conversation with Umierov, priority assistance in the field of security and Ukraine’s current military operations were discussed.
Quote: "The United States remains committed to helping Ukraine defend against Russian aggression," Austin wrote.
A Pentagon statement indicates that Austin and Umierov also discussed support from Alliance members and partners in meeting Ukraine's urgent military needs.
In turn, the Ukrainian minister provided updated information on the dynamics of the development of events on the battlefield, as well as the impact of Russian attacks on Ukraine.
