Radio Liberty journalists published a NASA satellite image showing a fire near the Savasleyka air base in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast after a nighttime drone attack.

Details: The publication noted that the fire at the air base area was recorded by NASA tracking satellites that monitor fires on the Earth's surface.

The publication writes that the fact of the explosion on the territory of the air base is also confirmed by the geolocation of one of the eyewitnesses' videos. 

Quote: "Among other things, this airbase is home to MiG-31K fighters capable of carrying Kinzhal missiles that Russia uses to strike Ukraine." 

Background: Explosions were heard in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, where the Savasleyka air base is located. This air base is known to house MiG-31K fighter jets capable of carrying Kinzhal missiles.
