On the evening of 9 July, rescue workers completed search and rescue operations at the site of a Russian attack on a residential building in Kyiv's Shevchenkivskyi district.

Background:
- The Russians launched missiles and guided aerial bombs at Ukraine on the morning of 8 July. An air raid warning was issued throughout the country. Explosions were heard in the capital and a number of other cities.
- Debris fell in the Solomianskyi, Dniprovskyi, Darnytskyi, Desnianskyi, Shevchenkivskyi and Holosiivskyi districts of Kyiv as a result of a missile strike.
