Zelenskyy announces another US$7.3 million to rebuild Okhmatdyt children's hospital

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced that another UAH 300 million (approx. US$7.3 million) will be allocated for the reconstruction of the Okhmatdyt National Children's Specialised Hospital.

Details: "We will rebuild Okhmatdyt. I am in touch with the Cabinet of Ministers, and the first decision has been made – UAH 100 million to support Okhmatdyt. Another 300 million will follow," he said.

In addition, Zelenskyy said, there will be other decisions for both Kyiv and the cities of the Dnipro and Donetsk regions.
Background:
- United24 and monobank have successfully raised US$6 million for the Okhmatdyt children's hospital.
- The initiative in support of Okhmatdyt, which had a target of US$5 million, had already raised US$3.4 million by this morning despite only having been launched on Monday evening.
- On 8 July, the Russians launched a strike on the Okhmatdyt National Children's Specialised Hospital in Kyiv, injuring and killing people.
