Ukrainian Defence Industry JSC opens representative office in US

Ukrainian Defence Industry JSC (also known as Ukroboronprom, a strategic manufacturer of weapons and military hardware in Ukraine) has opened its first foreign representative office – in Washington.

Quote: "We’ve opened the first foreign representative office of Ukroboronprom JSC, in Washington, USA," Kamyshin posted.

Its main objectives are to maximise the effectiveness of joint Ukrainian-American defence projects, work together with local businesses and government agencies, and negotiate the transfer of military technology.

Background: 

• Ukrainian Defence Industry JSC signed a Memorandum of Intent to form a joint venture with Amentum Services, Inc., a leading American company in the field of global design, project management, and solutions integration.
• Earlier, Ukrainian Defence Industry and Rheinmetall opened Ukraine's first workshop for the repair and production of German armoured vehicles.
