Details: Duflot stated that the members of the EU Delegation supplied Ukrainians with water and food and removed the debris after Russia’s strike on the Okhmatdyt hospital.

He added that the EU Delegation would also allocate financial aid to help Ukraine rebuild this symbol of Ukrainian healthcare, the symbol of how the Ukrainian state treats the most vulnerable strata of its population.

Duflot stated that Russia must be held accountable for its actions. "The more such acts we see, the higher our decisiveness to support Ukraine is," Duflot said.

Latest reports say that over 40 people lost their lives in the Russian attack on Ukraine on the morning of 8 July. Emergency services finished the removal of the debris on the premises of the Okhmatdyt; the work is still ongoing in the Syrets district where two sections of a residential building were destroyed. It was confirmed that 33 people were killed and 120 were injured in the city of Kyiv as a result of the attack.

Earlier the US and the EU called for the investigation of the strike on Okhmatdyt, which has features of a war crime.
