Power engineers start putting up three substations to supply Okhmatdyt hospital with power

Power engineers of the DTEK power company are establishing three transformer substations to fully supply the Okhmatdyt hospital with power.

It was stated that the experts are doing everything they can to resume power supply to the hospital as soon as possible.

Background:

  • As a result of the Russian attack on 8 July, two substations on the territory of the Okhmatdyt were destroyed. Power engineers connected the hospital to mobile transformers.
  • On the morning of 8 July, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russian Tu-95 long-range bombers took off from the Olenya air base.
  • The Ukrainian Air Force reported that the Russians launched missiles and guided aerial bombs on Ukraine; qn air raid warning was issued throughout Ukraine.
  • As a result of the Russian missile attack on 8 July, a building of the National Specialized Children’s Hospital Okhmatdyt was struck, people were killed and injured.
