Ukrainian becomes world arm wrestling champion

Ukraine's Oleh Petrenko has won the world title in professional arm wrestling at the East vs West 13 league competition in Istanbul.

The Ternopil native’s success was reported on the website of the Ternopil Oblast State Administration.

Petrenko defeated Armenian David Dadikyan 4-0 in the 105-kg title bout (Light Heavyweight, right hand).

In May of this year, Ukrainian sportsmen won 64 medals at the European Arm Wrestling Championships.
