Ukraine's Security Service and Defence Intelligence attack military facilities in three Russian oblasts – video

A joint operation by the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) and Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) on the night of 9 July resulted in fires breaking out at the Akhtubinsk military airbase in Russia’s Astrakhan Oblast, a 500kV power substation in Rostov Oblast, and an oil depot in Kalach-on-Don in Volgograd Oblast.

Details: During the drone attack on the Akhtubinsk military airbase, Russian Telegram channels reported that a Pantsir air defence system had been activated and there was a series of powerful explosions. This information was later deleted.

The source pointed out that this indicates a successful attack, as the Russian authorities usually clean up the information space when important military targets are hit.

The source said the Ukrainian defence forces will continue to strike Russian military facilities that are helping Russia in its war against Ukraine.
