Quote from Huttsait: "As of today, we have 124 licences in total. That’s 140 sportsmen and sportswomen who will take part in the Olympic Games. We have now completed our selection for the Olympic Games, and Ukraine ultimately has 124 licences."

This is the smallest ever team in Ukraine’s Olympic history. Previously, Ukraine’s smallest delegation was in Tokyo in 2021, with 155 athletes.

Ukraine submitted the documentation detailing the team members to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on 8 July.

Huttsait said Ukraine would be represented at the Olympics in almost every sport except for team sports. He highlighted the national football team, which will be playing at the Olympics for the first time since Ukraine's independence.
