Details: Pritzker justified her choice by citing the term of tenure, but conceded that she would not work to extend it: "I have to express with sadness that congressional demands limit my term in this position to one year. As a result, I'm making my final journey to Kyiv as a special representative. But I remain committed to this cause and endeavour."
Pritzker asserted that following her dismissal, the American administration will continue to assist in Ukraine's reconstruction.
"I'm not the only one committed to this job, the Biden administration is committed to Ukraine's economic recovery, so there will be permanence in our work," she said.
Penny Pritzker also said that in less than a year since her appointment, this was her sixth trip to Ukraine.
