Tuaregs photographed with Ukrainian flag after defeating Wagnerites in Mali
Tuareg rebels in Mali have been photographed holding a Ukrainian flag after killing dozens of Russians from the Wagner Private Military Company (PMC).

Details: The picture was obtained by the journalists, who said: "This photo seems to indicate the Tuaregs’ support for Ukraine – which has been pursuing Wagner mercenaries across the African continent."
Sources in Ukraine's defence and security forces have confirmed the photo's authenticity, asserting that Ukraine fully supports any forces in the various parts of Africa that are fighting against Wagner terrorists.
Andrii Yusov, spokesman for Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence, said on the national 24/7 newscast on 29 July that "the rebels received necessary information, which enabled a successful military operation against Russian war criminals," adding that Defence Intelligence "won’t discuss the details at the moment, but there will be more to come".
Background:

- The fighting took place in the town of Tinzaouatene, near Mali's border with Algeria, on Thursday 25 July and Friday 26 July. At least 20 Wagner fighters were killed and the rest were captured.
- In addition to the deaths or capture of scores of Russian Wagner mercenaries in Mali’s north, a Russian mercenary propagandist and administrator of the Grey Zone Telegram channel was killed.
