Ukrainian air defence downs missile and 9 out of 10 attack drones overnight

The Russians attacked Ukraine with a Kh-59/Kh-69 cruise missile and 10 Shahed attack drones on the night of 28-29 July, and Ukrainian air defence has managed to destroy the missile and nine drones.

Quote from the Air Force: "As a result of combat efforts, a Kh-59/Kh-69 missile and nine Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs were shot down. Air targets were destroyed in Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Kirovohrad oblasts."

Details: It is reported that the Russians fired the missile from the airspace of the occupied part of Donetsk Oblast, while the Shahed drones were launched from Cape Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea.

"Anti-aircraft missile units and electronic warfare units of the Air Force and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian defence forces were involved in repelling the air attack," the Air Force summed up.
