About 100 combat clashes recorded on battlefield over past day – Ukraine's General Staff

There have been 101 combat clashes recorded on the battlefield since the beginning of the day on 19 July. Ukrainian soldiers continue to courageously rebuff the Russian attempts to push into the depths of the country, exhausting the opposing forces across the entire front line.

Details: On the Kharkiv front,  the Russians struck Ukrainian troops' defensive positions around Vovchansk and Hlyboke five times, achieving no apparent success. 

On the Kupiansk front, the Russian forces launched nine assaults in the vicinity of Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Novoosynove and Stelmakhivka. Ukrainian soldiers withstood five Russian assaults, with four clashes still underway. 

On the Lyman front, the Russians attacked Ukrainian positions 13 times during the day near Hrekivka, Nevske, Novosadove, as well as Serebrianka forest. Ukraine’s forces repulsed the Russian attacks, preventing them from advancing.

On the Siversk front, the Russian forces were also repulsed near Bilohorivka, Verkhnokamianske, Vyimka and Pereizne. Ukrainian defenders withstood all six attacks.

On the Kramatorsk front, Ukrainian forces stopped three Russian offensive actions near Chasiv Yar and Bila Hora. Two Russian assaults are still ongoing in the vicinity of Chasiv Yar. 

On the Toretsk front, the Russians attacked the Ukrainian defence forces at Pivnichne, Toretsk, New-York, and Zalizne 13 times. Eleven assaults have been hampered, with two more still underway. 

The Russian forces were the most active on the Pokrovsk front. Since the beginning of the day, they have attempted 28 times to breach Ukrainian defences near Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Prohres, Kalynove, Yasnobrodivka and Novoselivka Persha. Four combast clashes are still underway.

The Russian forces suffered severe losses; 247 personnel were eliminated on this front, 78 of them killed in action. Two tanks, two infantry combat vehicles, two Tigr armoured vehicles, three D-30 howitzers, three Lancet unmanned aerial vehicles, six trucks, and a Murom-M video surveillance system were all destroyed. In addition, a tank, four D-30 howitzers, two 2A65 guns, and an MT-12 anti-tank gun were damaged.

On the Kurakhove front, the Russians attacked Ukrainian positions nine times near Krasnohorivka, Karlivka and Kostiantynivka. According to the most recent information, one combat clash is still ongoing.

On the Vremivka front, the Russians launched an ineffective assault operation near Vodiane.

On the Orikhiv front, the Russian attempts to force Ukrainian soldiers to abandon their positions were equally futile. Ukrainian defenders repulsed six attacks near Mala Tokmachka,  Mala Tokmachka, Shcherbaky and Novoandriivka.

The Russians were also defeated on the Prydniprovske front while attacking the Ukrainian positions on the Dnipro river's left (eastern) bank.

On other sections of the battlefield, the situation has remained stable.
