Russia has lost over 545,000 soldiers

Russia continues to suffer losses in its war of aggression against Ukraine, losing 1,280 soldiers killed and injured, 56 artillery systems, 16 armoured combat vehicles and eight tanks over the past 24 hours alone.

Details: The total combat losses of the Russian forces between 24 February 2022 and 2 July 2024 are estimated to be as follows [figures in parentheses represent the latest losses – ed.]: 

• approximately 545,090 (+1,280) military personnel;
• 8,107 (+8) tanks;
• 15,566 (+16) armoured combat vehicles;
• 14,655 (+56) artillery systems;
• 1,114 (+3) multiple-launch rocket systems;
• 874 (+0) air defence systems;
• 360 (+0) fixed-wing aircraft;
• 326 (+0) helicopters;
• 11,641 (+21) strategic and tactical UAVs;
• 2,335 (+2) cruise missiles;
• 28 (+0) ships and boats;
• 1 (+0) submarines;
• 19,787 (+74) vehicles and tankers;
• 2,452 (+4) special vehicles and other equipment.
